I'm a lecturer in English, working on theoretical syntax and psycholinguistics in Islamabad. This site collects my long-form writing on linguistics, English language teaching, exam preparation, and Pakistani higher education.

What I write about

Mostly the grammar of South Asian languages, what actually works in an ELT classroom, and the policy questions that keep coming up around universities here — teaching load, research time, and what a research base the country hasn't built would take to build.

What this site is for

This is a personal, single-author blog. There's no editorial board and no byline pool — just one person publishing under their own name, and occasionally a guest contributor.
